About Us
Hapa Kabsat was founded by Ryan Stonich, and started its work in 2022. Ryan is half Filipino and started the company to learn about and support his Filipino heritage. “Hapa” is someone who is partially of Asian or Pacific Islander decent. And “Kabsat” means sibling in Ilocano, a Filipino dialect. He works alongside his sister, Julianna, who has worked on our most recent projects.
We’re active and passionate supporters of environmental sustainability, the scientific method, and STEM concepts, and believe it’s important to share what we have learned with students in the Philippines. Hapa Kabsat enables people who are passionate about science and sustainability to support our work. Our goal is to inform and influence students so they can have a cleaner and greener future in the Philippines.
